About Department
- The department of Zoology was formerly established in 2000-2001. In early days, the department handle by people who flourish it step by step and now it having one fulltime doctorate post from Dec.2014 with CHB and one non-teaching faculty.
- It offers graduation course to the students. Beside teaching- learning faculty members engaged in research and extension activities organised by college.
- Faculty of the department are life member of Society of Life Science, Maharashtra Pakshi Mitra Society etc. Head of the department having Research guide recognisation from the Dr. B. A. M. University Aurangabad (19/06/2019) and fellowship of Life Science Society, Satna (M.P.) also receive Bharatratn Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam International Honour Award (05 Sep 2021) by Universal Research Ground Peer reviewed research journal. The department has tradition of consistent excellent result.
- Department of Zoology organised a State level E- Webinar on Diversity of Birds in 2019.
- Main objective of the department is to provide a platform for the students to interact and exchange the ideas and views in the subject of Zoology.
- Students in the department also mark their impression at university level in AVISHKAR 2019 competition.
- Staff member take continuous efforts to motivate and promote the students to acquire expected course outcome, for competitive examination and higher studies and to design innovative experiments.
- Department always engage student in animal related activity like poster exhibition, documentary, guest lecture etc.
- The departments has well equipped with laboratory.
