About Department
The Department of Physics was established in 1998, along with the foundation of the college. It is permanently affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Physics, as we all know, is the fundamental science that explains the basic laws of nature. It deals with matter, energy, space, and time, forming the foundation for all other sciences such as chemistry, biology, and mathematics. Physics is important because it explains how the world works, supports modern technology, improves our daily life, and opens up vast career opportunities.
At present, the department has three full-time teaching faculty members and one non-teaching staff. One of the faculty members is an elected member of the Board of Studies in Physics at Dr. B.A.M.U., Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. All faculty members are highly qualified, holding Ph.D. degrees and recognized as research guides. With rich teaching and research experience, the faculty actively contribute to academics and research. They have published numerous research papers in reputed journals, participated in national and international conferences, authored several books, and one patent has been credited to the department.
The Department of Physics is dedicated to nurturing scientific curiosity, analytical thinking, and research skills among students. Since its inception, the department has been committed to imparting quality education in physics by combining strong theoretical foundations with practical applications, thereby preparing students for higher studies, research, and diverse career opportunities.
