About Department
The Department of Chemistry was established in 1998, along with the foundation of the college. It is permanently affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. today it has six faculty members, one laboratory assistant and one laboratory attendant. At present, the department has six faculty members, one laboratory assistant and one laboratory attendant. The Department is flourished with well qualified and versatile faculty members, out of total 6 faculty members, 4 are Doctorate and 3 are qualified CSIR-NET JRF and GATE examinations and two are currently pursuing their Ph.D. The Department is very proud that our faculty members not only practice teaching Chemistry but are actively involved in research also. The Department has successfully completed one Minor Research Project, funded by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. The Department has also organised a National conference on IPR in 2020. With rich teaching and research experience, the faculty actively contribute to academics and research. They have published numerous research papers in reputed journals, participated in national and international conferences, authored several books, and one patent has been credited to the department.
The Department of Chemistry is dedicated to nurturing scientific curiosity, analytical thinking, and research skills among students. Since its inception, the department has been committed to imparting quality education in chemistry by combining strong theoretical foundations with practical applications, thereby preparing students for higher studies, research, and diverse career opportunities. The Department also offers career oriented courses like “Soil Testing”, from 2018 as a certificate course.
